About JBD
Since 2009, JBD has designed with a variety of private clients, design collaborations, four and five-star hotels and clubs, including Carneros Resort & Spa, The Four Seasons, Mark Hopkins InterContinental and Kimpton Hotel Group. JBD has worked on design projects in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Napa/Sonoma, Portland, Utah, Chicago, Hawaii, and the East Coast, some of which are published in Luxury Travel Magazine, American Spa, Sonoma Magazine, California Home & Design, The San Francisco Chronicle, and Marin Magazine.
JBD specializes in creating curated lifestyle spaces for living, entertaining and restoring with the thoughtful use of color and mixed materials. Bespoke furnishings, quality lighting, and a wide variety of global sources and local artisans bring together these custom-tailored spaces. Design work presents unique challenges and demands; we believe it’s important to remember design is not for function alone, but also our happiness and well-being.
A portion of our profit supports the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank helping people of all circumstances that need our support, and NEWH, a hospitality organization that raises scholarship funds for deserving students.
About Jeremy Bitter
Coming from a multigenerational family of builders and makers, Jeremy grew up with exposure to a variety of ground-up and renovation projects from residential concrete and framing to steel high-rise. Following a finance and tech HR career observing the negative impact of inadequate interiors on people, Jeremy Bitter returned to artistic roots to see how he could change them! Jeremy graduated UC Berkeley Extension's Interior Design and Interior Architecture program with distinction and concurrent real-world interior design work experience.
Jeremy is a Native Californian, spending some years living in Eastern Asia. He finds inspiration everywhere through travel, exploring nature and the built world. Jeremy is married and enjoys life in San Francisco. Design and travel aside- he loves growing green things and exploring the neighborhoods, woods and beaches around San Francisco in search of sunshine. Jeremy continues to delight in experiencing and designing boutique hospitality spaces and private properties.
